ON YOUR PASSION

To quote our Vice President Kamala Harris, "I may be the first...but I will not be the last." I really take that to heart. As the first Black woman to raise $1M+ for a packaged food startup, I constantly think about how I can lift as I climb. For me, that's providing access to social and financial capital and mentorship, so that many other women and people of color will be in a similar position. Additionally, I don't believe that natural, better for you products should be reserved for only affluent people, so we partner with the Food Equality Initiative and Eat.Learn.Play to get our products into the hands of families experiencing food insecurity.
